Research Scientist
AI applied to Medical Image Segmentation and Synthesis
I am a proactive and hard-working Research Scientist specialized in Computer Vision and Deep Learning, currently pursuing a PhD focused on medical image segmentation and synthesis.
I am passionate about learning and understanding the fundamental principles behind complex methods.
Autonomous University of Madrid
2023 - 2026
PhD Thesis: Developing DL methods for the segmentation of multi-parametric MRI brain images, including medical image synthesis to handle missing or incomplete data. It also addresses and evaluates challenges in domain generalization and computational efficiency.
Autonomous University of Madrid
2022 - 2023
This Master's Degree focuses on both the fundamentals and practical applications of DL methods specialized for audio, image, and video signals. It covers techniques such as object detection, voice diarization, biometric signal processing and XAI.
Master's Thesis: Self-Supervised Monocular Depth Estimation and Visual Odometry on Unseen Synthetic Cameras.
University of Valencia
2018 - 2022
This Bachelor's Degree focuses on collecting, processing, and analyzing large volumes of data to extract meaningful insights. It covers topics such as clustering, statistical inference, database management, classical machine learning and an introduction to DL.
Bachelor's Thesis: Detecting Atrial Reentries Focal Point in Heart's Simulations with Deep Reinforcement Learning.
2023 - present
I am currently working as a Research Scientist at the Autonomous University of Madrid, focusing on Deep Learning for computer vision tasks. My work was initially centered on monocular depth estimation and visual odometry and now focuses on developing DL methods for medical image analysis, such as brain MRI segmentation and synthesis.
2022
I worked as a Data Analyst at Aitana Management S.L, where I mainly developed Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) processes to build interactive sales and financial dashboards for the Business Intelligence department. My work involved regular client meetings and was carried out entirely using Power BI.
2020 - 2021
I completed two different research internships at the University of Valencia, where I first developed an application to evaluate amateur singing performance against professional references using audio signal analysis (Python), and later processed scientific papers corpus to build a technical lexicon for further statistical analysis (R).
